Saffron is the stigma of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus), hand-harvested – each flower yields only a tiny amount of stigma, making it one of the world's most valuable spices by weight.
The strands have a distinctive red-orange colour; when steeped in warm water they give off a golden-orange colour and a delicate aroma.
Can be used to brew tea or added to desserts, rice or soup to taste – only a very small amount is needed each time.
Packed in a small 1g airtight glass jar, which helps keep the natural aroma and colour longer.
This product is a food item, not a medicine, and does not replace medical treatment.

How to use: Add 3–5 strands to warm water (60–70°C) or a dish, let steep a few minutes for the colour and aroma to develop before use.
Storage: Keep the lid tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the aroma longer.
Because the strands must be hand-harvested from the flower, and each flower yields only a tiny amount of stigma – making the harvest yield very low relative to the labour involved.
About 3–5 strands per pot of tea or dish is a common reference amount – a little goes a long way for both colour and aroma.
Consult a doctor before use, especially during pregnancy.
